Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Announce Audit of Green Loan Assessors

Penny Wong announced today a $4.28m audit investigating assessor fraud in regards to the Green Loan program.

Green Loan Assessors waiting to be paid by Green Loans

A number of our members have raised concerns in regard to the payment of Green Loans invoices by the government within the promised 30 days of raising. The following article in todays Age newspaper examines this issue, and states:

Despite assurances that extra staff would ensure deadlines were met, an industry survey this month found 93 per cent of assessors were waiting more than the promised month to be paid. A third said it took more than two months; nearly one in 10 more than three months.

Have your say: Performance audit of the Green Loans Program

The Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) has invited our sister company Sustainable Footprint to comment on their experiences and observations relating to the Green Loans Program.

Green Professionals is hosting the survey as we are interested in your experiences with the program to date. We would like to feedback information collected here to the ANAO in the hope that it will influnce future initiatives, both public and private.
